Thanking God For Protection

Just recieved a distrubing phone call. My youngest called to say that she had been in a car wreck. Good news is that she is okay and unharmed and that the accident was not her fault. By the time she called me she had already called the police and they were there helping her. The man had insurance which is good, but he had tried to talk Abi out of reporting it and the passenger he had in the car with him ran away before the police arrived.
Just Friday night I ad been up and felt the strangest need to pray for the protection of my children. I had thought much else about it until now. God is good. Abi is not hurt and everything else will iron out.

I thas been a while since I posted anything. I am sure that this i snot an interesting place...but I can put some thoughts down. tennis season is almost over....just a few more days and we are finished. Then we head to Siloam and to my folks for my father's indcution into the John Brown University Hall of Fame.

I hope to post pictures of all of that great happening.

Vacation!!!!

Had a wonderful time in Cozumel. Scuba divign and just hanging around with Lance and Tara. It was beautiful there.
Met some great people that we think will be friends on down the raod and even learned some Mayan from some of the locals.

These are pictures of the Jon and Airika's rehersal dinner. Lots of family and friends attended. It was nice to see everyone together. Chase and Victoria, Airika's brother, are to be married in September.

Okay...that was not it

This is all new to me...even though I have worked on and dealt with computers for years...I haven't been blogging and it is just new and different....I will be experimenting with everything and making some mistakes as well.

Well, tomorrow we head to Arkansas and a huge family get together...I am truly looking forward to seeing my family and espcially some cousins and their children that I haven't seen in almost ten years!!!

Rain, Rain, Rain....finally

With all of the rain in different parts of the country and the flooding that has resulted, I feel a little badly posting this...however...parts of western Kansas has actually been in a drought ....We have had very litle rain since last year...finally last night clouds came through and actually produced some much needed moisture.
It rained off and on all night...and even some this morning...how nice to hear it on the roof hear the splash of puddles as cars drive by.

This is not a droght buster...but it will help.

First day on the blog

Well, not much to say...rather quiet....the first day on the blog...I just received an email from a principal in Las Vegas wanting me to interview for a job.
